Kal Sarpa Dosh and Types in Nepali | General Remedies
Learn about Kal Sarpa Dosh and its 12 types, plus effective remedies from a Vedic astrologer with 22 years of experience. Understand how this dosha affects your life.
Have you ever felt like life is stuck in a loop, no matter how hard you try? That's what many of my clients describe when they come to me about Kal Sarpa Dosh.
What is Kal Sarpa Dosh?
Kal Sarpa Dosh happens when all seven planets in your birth chart are trapped between Rahu and Ketu. Rahu and Ketu are the shadow planets, the nodes of the moon. They create a serpentine energy that can feel suffocating.
I'm not entirely sure why this dosha affects people so differently, but in my experience, it often brings delays, obstacles, and a sense of being stuck. Think about it this way: imagine living your life with a python coiled around you. That's the energy of Kal Sarpa Dosh.
Now, most people stop here and panic. But there's more to understand.

When Does Kal Sarpa Dosh Activate?
The dosha activates during the mahadasha or antardasha of Rahu or Ketu. Also, when Shani transits Rohini nakshatra, it can trigger the effects. This is where it gets interesting: many people don't feel the dosha until these transits happen.
General Remedies for Kal Sarpa Dosh
Remedies are not magic. They help balance the energy. Here's what I recommend:
First, perform a Naga Puja on Nag Panchami or any Friday. Offer milk and flowers to a snake idol. This pleases Rahu and Ketu.
Second, chant the Kal Sarpa Dosh Nivaran Mantra: Om Anantaya Namah (for Anant type) or the specific mantra for your type. Chant 108 times daily.
Third, donate black items on Saturdays: black sesame seeds, black cloth, or iron. This reduces the negative impact.
(And honestly, this surprises most people) Wearing a Moti (pearl) or Sulemani Hakik (black agate) can help. But always consult an astrologer first.
